It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Wilson. He was an active member of the golf club and a valued member of the Vets committee. Alan will be much missed.

Alan’s funeral will be held at Southend crematorium, on Thursday 14^th March 2024 at 11.20am. Afterwards there will be a wake held at Rochford Hundred Golf Club. If you intend to goto the funeral and the wake afterwards, can you please let Mike Donovan know via E-Mail (mike.donovan17@gmail.com). There is no dress code for the funeral but Susan would like the vets to follow the tradition of wearing their Vets ties if possible.

Susan has said- Rochford Golf Club has phoned to say, there will be a problem with parking. As they have a match and a society of 28 on the same day as the wake. As there are currently 78 people going to the wake, would it be possible to ask the Vets to share cars and park in the Freight House car park. As you come out of Rochford Golf Club car park, you turn right, go under the bridge and the car park is on the right. I know it’s not fair to ask but family and friends are coming from various parts of the country and are not familiar with the area. Thank you.
